Is there a crown race that will work for a 1 1/8" straight steerer on this headset? edward grinwald asked on December 1, 2023

Yes, you will need a 52/30 crown race in addition to the rest of the headset assembly.

What are the Angles on the bearings pressing against the Frame on the lower and upper bearing? I need a Hellbender 70 Slam Tapered IS41/28.6/H4.6 | IS52/40 1 1/8"-1 1/2" Sam asked on November 20, 2023

All of our bearings use 45* outside angles (that interface with frame or bearing cups) This is actually one of the only fairly reliable standards across the bike industry.

Which headsrt is needed for the new specialized crux? Ian asked on October 10, 2023

The Crux uses an IS42 upper headset and an IS49 lower headset. We only offer the upper IS42 since the IS49 uses a proprietary sized bearing onyl availale from specialized.

You can choose from several of our headset models in IS42 and we recommend the 110 Series since it has a Lifetime Guarantee (even on the bearings).

What is the angle on the bottom of the upper bearing? Robert asked on September 29, 2023

We use both 36°x45° and 45°x45° bearings so it depends on the headset size. All IS47 lower headsets will use a 45°x45° bearing. All other lower complete headsets use a 36°x45° bearing.

Not sure what bike this is supposed to fit, but the spacing required from the top of the bearing to the top of the head tube is unlike any other I've seen, and where the "Slam" gets all of it's gains from - rather than from the design of the slam itself. So odd. All seals have been removed from the design. Recommend searching a competitor product if you're looking for a normally sealed 'slammed' headset for a standard headtube configuration.
