eeSilk

These posts make great enhancements to endurance road bikes by reducing the chatter transmitted from the surface to the rider and can be tuned to rider weight through a simple elastomer change. #5 elastomer comes pre-installed, other weight elastomers sold separately.

Highlights:

  • Bolt-on compliance: Up to 20mm of travel to add comfort and compliance on endurance road and mixed-surface rides without adding unnecessary weight to the bike
  • Parallel-linkage design: Parallel linkage technology stays in the direct path of the natural travel of the rear wheel. As a bump lifts the back of the bicycle, the rear wheel pushes up and forward into the rider.
  • Easy elastomer change: The eeSilk seatpost can be tuned for different rider weights and riding styles by selecting the elastomer that best fits rider needs and preferences.

Build your perfect ride

"I've been abusing mine in rough, mucky, wet conditions for almost 20,000km and it's still silk-ee smooth. Now, when I reach my 2nd bakery stop of the day, I can still sit down with a smile on my face."

– Rob Biron, Bike Gear Database

Q & A

There is a cable for the rear taillight through the top of the seatpost on my new turbo Vado sl. Will I be able to use the eesilk seatpost with this bike without disconnecting the light? Donna Salmi asked on April 10, 2024

Hello, thanks for reaching out, however, out eeSilk seat post will not allow you to run a cable through the seat post tube as it is blocked off by the compliance portion of the eeSilk seat post. Sorry.

Hello, Regarding the walls thickness: Is it possible to put a Di2 battery inside the carbon version? Thanks!! Benjamin Maibach asked on December 30, 2023

The 27.2 eeSilk carbon seatpost has an inner diamter of 22mm, that is consistent throughout almost it's entire length.

Does the eeSilk carbon seatpost specifically work with OVERSIZED 7x9MM CARBON RAILS, like those on Specialized's S-Works Power with Mirror saddle? Thanks! Dan Hanson asked on December 27, 2023

Yes! eeSilk seatposts are perfectly compatible with ovalized, carbon railed saddles! (7x9mm)

Is the aluminium 27.2 eesilk still available ? Dean asked on August 20, 2023

Sadly we have phased out the Alloy eeSilk 27.2. The Carbon version is available as well as eeSilk+ in Alloy.

Wish they still made these in aluminum - black Friday sales made pricing acceptable but carbon is overkill on my 20 year old aluminum frame.
Regardless, these stems and seat posts are great. It's amazing that these and a nice set of 28x700 Continentals make gravel paths and driveways no issue.

Really smooths out the ride on my aluminum-frame road bike. Using the standard elastomer and it's working great, but might try a softer one at some point to satisfy my curiosity -- the ability to adjust the stiffness is a major plus. And pleased to report no noise or other problems. Excellent in every way!
