Do you have a thudbuster g2 extra soft elastomer in stock for sale? David Rachui asked on January 17, 2024

The G3 Thudbuster elastomers will fit your seatpost. We have extra-soft ones available on this page. https://canecreek.com/product/thudbuster-st-3g-elastomer/ Part number is BAE0021.

How do I fit the Extra Firm elastomer on G4 ST. I just cannot push it in with my fingers…any tips? Tim Firth asked on December 29, 2023

The fit is quite tight. I'd recommend using some soapy water solution to make the surfaces more slippery and use the butt end of a screwdriver (or any firm but not sharp object) to save your fingers and give you a little more pushing force.

find my thud buster too firm I weigh 72kg what is your recommendation??? Alfred Nestler asked on June 2, 2023

To ensure you are using the correct elastomer for your Thudbuster ST, you can review our rider weight chart here: https://canecreek.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/11/Thudbuster_ST_English.pdf

This lists weight ranges and the appropriate elsatomer for your rider weight. The part numbers for each elstomer are listed below the weight chart. You may want to have a few different firmness levels for different riding conditions, terrain, and rider weights.

At 78kg you can use either the Medium which comes installed on the seatpost, or the Soft elastomer which is included along with the seatpost.

We have an older thudbuster and use a "3" elastomer. We have a new bike with the newer ST version, which newer style elastomer would equate in softness to the "3" Bruce cote asked on May 31, 2023

The Newest Version Thudbuster (4G) Seat Clamp actually holds, IF tightened all the way to the torque limit. The original did not hold. That isn't exactly high praise.

I got this seatpost after suffering some tailbone soft tissue damage riding my rigid Niner Air 9 Carbon on local gravel trails. I was worried the seatpost would impart a “bouncy” feel especially given my higher weight. I was not only pleasantly surprised that the seatpost stays tight until dampening is needed, I was amazed at the smoothness.

It worked so great I came back home and ordered the eeSilk stem!
