Helm Works Series

29" - $1,099.99

In 2019 Cane Creek launched their WS130 down country low travel fork, 4 years later they are paying homage to the WS130 by introducing an extremely limited run of their low travel modular fork, the Works Series Helm. The Works Series Helm is a robust, modular fork that equips riders looking for a fork in the 100-130mm travel range with the confidence to ride through tech or push up climbs.

The Works Series Helm is available in 4 travel options: 100mm, 110mm, 120mm and 130mm options. Like Cane Creek’s Helm MKII, the Works Series can easily be travel adjusted in 10mm increments with just a few tools at home. Built with a stiffer chassis, the Works Series gives a smoother, more controlled ride.

All of Cane Creek’s suspension products are hand-built in Western North Carolina and rigorously tested in the Pisgah National Forest. This Limited Works Series Helm fork is available while supplies last for $1099.99.

Helm Works Series is now sold out.

All fork returns are subject to a 20% restocking fee.

TAKE CONTROL ON
THE TRAIL

The Works Series Helm beats out the competing fork with a stiffer chassis, giving riders more control through chundery sections of trails and rock gardens. This fork is the perfect do-all for riders who regularly ride XC and occasionally rip on more technical and challenging terrain.

HAND-BUILT IN WESTERN NORTH CAROLINA

Every single Helm fork is designed, built, inspected, tested and packed by a dedicated team of suspension professionals at our facility in Fletcher, North Carolina. Our suspension team’s attention to detail is illustrated in our three step Dyno testing, ensuring that our hand built products reach high standards of precision and performance.

This process includes:

  • Individual Damper Assemblies compression and rebound verification.
  • Helm Chassis validation of the spring and damper
  • Final hand dyno to ensure quality and supple feel.

Q & A

Can we add travel to the workseries 130mm to achieved 150mm of travel? Pierre asked on August 23, 2023

No. The Works Series is optimized for 130mm and shorter. We do offer standard Helm forks up to 160mm.

What is the uncut steerer tube length? I have an XL Salsa Fargo with an absurdly tall headtube, and I can’t find a 100mm fork to fit it. Will Boulware asked on August 15, 2023

Uncut, the Helm forks have a steer tube length (from crown race seat to steer tube's end) of 9.25".

You also have the option of reducing your headset upper stack height using our Hellbender 70 Slam headset.

On your ZS44 headset this will gain you an additional 6mm vs a traditional ZS44 headset: https://canecreek.com/product/hellbender-70-slam/

What size rotor do you recommend for works fork? Brian Susnowitz asked on July 5, 2023

The Helm Works Series minimum rotor size is 180mm so you can use 180mm or larger using an adapter for larger rotors. If using a Hope brand caliper you must use a 200mm or larger since Hope calipers contact the fork using a rotor smaller than 180mm

Would you be able to squeeze a larger diameter tire if it was 27.5? I am curious about throwing this on my Surly Lowside Kane asked on May 3, 2023

Helm Works Series has listed tire width of 64mm\2.52in. regardless of wheel size. I wouldn't be very surprised if a wider tire could fit, but that is our listed spec.

Hi Joseph! Yes, the maximum tire width is 64mm which is 2.51 inches.
